Classroom of the Elite season 3 is finally over, and its last episode mostly followed the finale of the light novel’s Year 1 arc. There are some differences though, as the Classroom of the Elite anime changed a major Ichinose and Ayanokoji scene.
Aside from Ichinose though, Ayanokoji also had many scenes with some of the most important characters in the series. This sets up the upcoming events of Year 2.

What Happened to Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite Season 3’s Final Episode?
In the final episode of Classroom of the Elite season 3, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji went on a whirlwind tour of sorts as he talked to Hiyori Shiina, Kakeru Ryuen, Honami Ichinose, Suzune Horikita, and Kei Karuizawa.
Out of all these though, Ayanokoji and Karuizawa’s post-credits scene arguably got the most attention. After all, the two become each other’s love interests in the light novel.
Of course, other fans also talked about the Ichinose and Ayanokoji scene. After all, Ichinose also seems to have feelings for Ayanokoji, given that she was among the girls who gave him chocolates.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 13 Changes Ichinose and Ayanokoji Scene
The scene between the two started with Honami Ichinose hanging around outside Ayanokoji’s apartment in the rain. In response, Ayanokoji invites her over to dry up.
During their scene, Ichinose reinforces her goal of reaching Class A, with Ayanokoji also giving her words of encouragement.
In typical Ayanokoji fashion though, he still sees Ichinose as competition as he says to himself that he’ll deal the finishing blow for Ichinose’s defeat.
While the scene in the anime points to Ichinose’s closeness with Ayanokoji, light novel readers noted the changes made in the adaptation, especially given how fast the scene happens.
While the events didn’t deviate much from the light novel’s version, many fans noted that it lacked the intimacy and tension in the original.
Classroom of the Elite Fans Say the Latest Episode Feels Rushed
It’s not just the Ichinose scene though, as many viewers thought that the episode moved too fast. This makes sense to fit all of Ayanokoji’s interactions, but it did undercut the impact in some ways.
Still, fans are generally satisfied with the finale, with many hoping that the show will get a fourth season to kick off the Year 2 arc.
