Kim Garam Reportedly Responds to Accusations + HYBE Comments on Her Reaction
On August 10, SBS News shared a screenshot of an alleged letter penned by Kim Garam herself. The former idol reportedly asked a friend to post it for her.
The letter also contains a document written by the school violence committee.
According to Kim Garam, she became more afraid of the criticisms she faced in the past weeks. But as she broke her silence for the first time, she insisted that she never hit someone nor was forced to transfer from one school to another.
She also defended herself by saying she never drank alcohol or smoked cigarettes. Far from the accusations, she reportedly never bullied anyone and remained an ordinary student.

She added:
“The school violence committee incident occurred between March and May of middle school when Yoo (Kim Garam's former classmate who first brought up her school bullying controversy online) uploaded photos of my friend in underwear and talking behind her back.
While I was arguing with Yoo, helping my friend who was a victim, I started to curse.
At the time, I was not aware of the impact of the size difference of the groups, so I did not deeply thing that arguing with Yoo was wrong.”
In the end, she thanked everyone who supported her and read the letter.
