Attack on Titan may be over, but fans in the US have something from the franchise to look forward to. After its initial run in Japan, the Attack on Titan musical is coming to the US later this year.
Typically, anime stage play adaptations are only produced in Japan, so it’s a surprise to see the Attack on Titan play get a US run, even though it’s going to have limited shows.
Attack on Titan: The Musical Reveals New York Show Dates
Anime stage productions are quite common, with titles such as Lycoris Recoil and Bocchi the Rock! getting one. However, it's fair to say that the Attack on Titan musical may be one of the most unique.
Aside from the fact that the acrobatic fights between the Survey Corps and Titans make for a dazzling sight on stage, it being a musical also makes it stand out compared to the anime and manga.
This stage play opened in Japan on January 7, 2023, at the Orix Theater in Osaka. The show then moved to Tokyo later that year.
Finally, the musical is going to be held in the US. To be exact, the shows will take place at the New York City Center in Manhattan.
The first show will be held on October 11, 2024. In total, there will only be four shows happening between October 11-13.
Here are the exact show dates and times:
- Show #1 – October 11 at 7:30 PM
- Show #2 – October 12 at 2:00 PM
- Show #3 – October 12 at 7:30 PM
- Show #4 – October 13 at 2:00 PM

What to Expect in the Attack on Titan Stage Play
For the US production, the cast from the Japanese run will return as their respective Attack on Titan characters.
Aside from original music, viewers can expect complex stage choreography with lots of acrobatic stunts, especially given that the characters will be zipping through the stage with their ODM gear (via harnesses).
Story-wise, the play will adapt the beginning of the series’ story, though it won’t cover the entire anime or manga given its runtime.
