The cast of Stranger Things recently opened up about how they said goodbye to the hit Netflix series when they wrapped filming.
After almost ten years, the long-awaited final season of the beloved series is finally releasing on the streamer starting this November 26. Fans have been looking forward to seeing how they'll wrap the storyline in its closure and which characters will manage to survive the events.
Most importantly, there is also curiosity about how the younger cast members said goodbye to the series, considering how it made them into major global stars and changed their lives and careers.
How Did the Stranger Things Cast Say Goodbye to the Series?

In an interview with Variety, the cast members of Stranger Things shared how they said goodbye to their co-stars and the series when they wrapped filming on its last day.
As expected, it was an emotional final day for the cast, and it was a difficult goodbye as they grew up around each other throughout the course of its run.
"I bawled more than I expected I would. While I was at the point personally and professionally for the show to come to an end, I realized in that moment the finality was so real and I was maybe not emotionally prepared," Millie Bobby Brown said.
Meanwhile, Noah Schnapp revealed that he "went to every single person on that call sheet’s last day" after filming the last scene. He added, "I did not want to say goodbye to anybody. Every single goodbye hit me so much more than I expected."
Sadie Sink noted that they were all given an ending that they "wanted" and the show "deserved."
"And I think that’s so important when dealing with something as special as the show was for all of us, when it’s a decade of our lives. It was important to give it the proper closure it deserved, and I think we all definitely got that," she said.
However, the final episode itself is being kept secret from the cast, so none of them have seen a cut in advance, and they will likely watch it at the same time as the fans.
"The stakes just keep getting higher and higher, and the show — you are not ready. I just watched 5 and 6, and I was sobbing. It's so good," Schnapp told EW. "And then the finale, they're not gonna show any of us, so I won't see it until the world sees it, and I'm just as excited as you guys are."
What to Expect in the Final Season of Stranger Things
According to the logline for the final season of Stranger Things, set in the fall of 1987, "Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding."
"As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time."
The final season will be released across three phases: Volume 1 (four episodes) on November 26, Volume 2 (three episodes) on Christmas Day, December 25, and Volume 3 (the final episode) on New Year's Eve, December 31.
