Page Six's sources claim that Taylor and Travis may have been engaged for a while. According to the news outlet, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had actually proposed to the pop star "a couple of weeks ago." The exact date of the proposal, however, was not known.
Consider this: the couple recorded their guest episode on the New Heights podcast, which was posted on August 13. At the time, Kelce was already sporting shorter hair, which he debuted in late July. And yet, they both did not go public with the engagement news until Tuesday.
The NFL star and Grammy winner cheekily captioned their Instagram post, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," and the slideshow included Travis getting down on one knee in a beautiful garden while popping the Kindred Lubec-designed ring.
The news outlet also confirmed that Kelce's family members found out about the engagement long before they shared the news with their fans. The Kelce family opened their arms to officially welcome Taylor into their family.

Travis and Taylor have been dating since the summer of 2023, after the Super Bowl champ expressed his "man-tantrums" on his New Heights podcast that he wanted to meet Swift on her Eras Tour and give her his number.
At the time, Swift had ended her six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, as Kelce remained single after having broken up with his longtime girlfriend, sports journalist Kayla Nicole, in 2022.
The Chief attended the Eras Tour in July 2023 while Swift was performing at Arrowhead Stadium, his home field. On their podcast, Kelce admitted he was "butt hurt" that Swift wasn't able to speak to him before her concert, given she had to save her voice.
