Ryan Reynolds recently opened up about the impact of the Justin Baldoni legal battle on his business ventures.

The Deadpool & Wolverine star's wife, Blake Lively, is currently in the middle of a legal drama with Baldoni due to alleged workplace harassment on the set of It Ends with Us. Baldoni filed a countersuit with Reynolds named as one of the defendants, but the judge dismissed it.

In an interview with TIME, Reynolds opened up about the impact of his wife's legal battle with Baldoni on his business ventures and shared that the online discourse has no effect at all.

"I can read something that says, ‘He should be drawn and quartered.' I could read something that says I should win a Nobel Prize. Both are meaningless," he explained.

"None of us are comprised of our best moments. None of us are defined by our worst moments. We are something in the middle."

Reynolds added, "Accessibility and accountability are a big part of how I do things... The people that I work with know me, so there’s never a question of anything like that. If you operate with some degree of core values and integrity, they’re going to help you up. If you’re an a**hole, they’re not. And that’s pretty simple."

The Deadpool actor also discussed his conflict-resolution approach amid the challenges of the legal drama.

"Conflict resolution changed my life in a way that I can't quantify. You don't have to agree with the person. You can empathize, you can validate. You can do all those things and get closer to them without having to just blindly agree or win or lose," Reynolds said.

Recently, a court has ruled that Baldoni is allowed to obtain messages between Lively and Taylor Swift related to the filming of It Ends with Us.

The messages are considered relevant since Lively identified Swift as the person who is familiar with the complaints about the working environment on the set.

This is a minor victory for Baldoni's legal team, as they now have access to the messages as long as they are related to the movie and the legal case.

Lively attempted to move for a protective order relieving her from producing the messages, as she believes that her communications with Swift are irrelevant to the case. However, it was denied.
