The new Jason Statham film A Working Man managed to beat the live-action Snow White movie in the recent box office weekend, showing another sign of decline for the Disney movie.

After major controversies surrounding the stars and lukewarm critical reception, Snow White opened to disappointing box office numbers, and there have been questions about how it will fare in the rest of its theatrical run.

Reports confirmed that A Working Man topped the recent box office weekend with a $15.2 million opening, surprising box office pundits as the film was not expected to be the number one film.

The Jason Statham action flick managed to beat Snow White, which took the second spot with $14.2 million and plummeted by 66% in its second weekend.

While this is impressive news for the team behind A Working Man, it is yet another sign of decline for the Disney movie, as it showed that there was no encouraging word-of-mouth since the premiere.

With a hefty price tag of $250 million production budget, Snow White is now expected to be one of the major flops for Disney. It has grossed $143.1 million worldwide so far.

The film is expected to have a tough run in the coming weeks as it will compete with A Minecraft Movie, which is expected to attract the family audience.

Disney Reportedly Attempted to Restrain Rachel Zegler Through Social Media Guru

Last week, following the film's disappointing box office opening, Variety reported how Disney attempted to restrain Rachel Zegler's social media activities in the months leading up to the release of Snow White.

Aside from her pro-Palestine post that alerted Disney executives, there were also concerns regarding her posts on the US presidential election, where she slammed Donald Trump and his supporters.

Disney was alarmed as the post could alienate half of the potential audience in the country.

As a result, they paid for a social media guru to work with Zegler and vet her social media posts before the film's release.

The report also claimed that Zegler and Gadot got along during the shooting of the movie, and things only went awkward during the run-up to the release.
