Miley Cyrus recently revealed that Harrison Ford convinced her to change her initial plans for the companion piece of her new album, Something Beautiful.

The Grammy-winning singer's ninth studio album is set to be released at the end of this month. It will be followed by an accompanying musical film that will serve as a visual companion piece.

Harrison Ford Convinced Miley Cyrus to Change Her Something Beautiful Plans

In an interview with Apple Music (via Variety), Cyrus revealed that her initial plans for the companion piece to Something Beautiful are a series of intimate live performances in visually pleasing spaces.

However, it all changed after her encounter with Ford, whom she's known "for quite a while, just growing up in Disney and been in the same circles."

"I said, ‘Well, I have an idea.’ I said, ‘Actually, I made something. I have a PDF on my phone I could show you.' I show him my idea of ‘Somewhere Beautiful,’ which is performing in all the forests and at the pyramids and all these things," the singer shared.

"He goes, ‘You really want to go and set up in a forest and do what?’ He’s like, ‘You going to bring a crew? You got to…’ He’s like, ‘Looks expensive.’ And I came back to the trailer, I was like, ‘Guys, we’re not performing in the forest anymore. Harrison Ford made a lot of sense.‘"

Thanks to the legendary actor's suggestion, instead of doing a tour, Cyrus opted to do a visual film as the companion piece to her new album.

"That’s why I’m putting it into theaters because it’s something you can watch night after night after night, and you get to discover and you get to feel like you’re a part of a performance, but I don’t have to tax myself in that way," she said.

Miley Cyrus' New Album Something Beautiful Releases This Month

Cyrus's ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, is set to be released this May 30. It will consist of thirteen songs, including collaborations with Brittany Howard and Naomi Campbell.

The musical film will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival this June 6 and released theatrically in the same month.

"I wanted to have that experience for my fans, so that’s why I really wanted to have something where you don’t just, like, lay in your bed and say, ‘We’re gonna put that Miley thing on, I’m gonna kind of pay attention,’" the singer explained.

"I really wanted it to be in a theater because that experience, there’s something about— I don’t know if you watch Severance, but you know when they walk in and their brain changes? That’s what I hope. I don’t hope to sever anyone’s mind only a little, but I do just want them to walk into that theater and something to change, to go, ‘I’m here now, I’m invested and this is my focus.'"
