Drake’s approach to handling critics has come to light after a follower, known as Grandy, was allegedly hacked, resulting in leaked images of his conversation with the rapper.
The 38-year-old Canadian artist, who goes by @champagnepapi on Instagram, is reportedly seen speaking “behind the backs” of those who scrutinize him in these exchanges.
Hacker Revealed How Drake Allegedly Deals with his Critics
Drake’s Instagram messages with his follower, @grandwizardchatnigga, were leaked after the latter was allegedly compromised by a hacker.
The hacker posted a video on Grandy’s Instagram stories with the text, “In a little while, I will share all the deals with Drake and all the conversations where he talked behind the backs of celebrities and insulted them.”
According to the leaked conversation, Grandy sent a link to a podcast video titled Drake Got Caught Being Weird Again by music critic Anthony Fantano, commenting on the One Dance artist’s connection with Snoh, a streamer accused of exploiting minors online without their consent.
Drake responded to Grandy’s message with, “This sh*t not gonna work the b*tch weird not me.”
The hacker claimed in the video that Drizzy pays people to have X accounts of his critics tracked for their location and deactivated from the platform, though nothing in the screen recording proves the allegation.
Grandy’s page, which many of his followers refer to as a meme page, is affiliated with influencer and DJ Akademiks TV, and some speculate that both are run by the same person.
A post from Grandy on X confirms that the account was breached, while another post from his other Instagram account, @grandavious, states, “yo my main got hacked,” supporting the claim.
Several of their conversations, according to the hacker’s video, also involve insults directed at Kendrick Lamar.
Drake and Lamar have been in an ongoing feud, exchanging diss tracks for over a decade. Recently, Drake filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the release of Lamar’s diss track, Not Like Us, but UMG moved to dismiss the claim on March 17.
Drake’s alleged Instagram messages with Grandy spread across the internet, and reactions online have been naturally divided.
Some users questioned their authenticity, suggesting the video might have been AI-generated. One user on X said:
Others pointed out how things haven’t been going well for Drake lately, referencing his long-standing feud with Lamar. One user commented:
People also noted how frequently Drake and his associates have been targeted by hackers, mentioning that his X account was infiltrated in December by an anonymous user to promote a fake meme coin.
Drake’s supporters, on the other hand, saw nothing wrong with the conversations. Some even found his messages mocking well-known figures, such as Patrick Mahomes’ brother, Jackson Mahomes, amusing. Others said they liked him more because of how he responds like a regular person.
