Many people believe that heaven is just around the corner, whether in their favorite spot in the world or their loved one's arms. But heaven is a long and dreadful journey for Maru and Kiruko, and they're ready to face the horrors of reality, whether they like it or not. So, how many episodes will Heavenly Delusion have?
Heavenly Delusion is an adventure, sci-fi, mystery, and seinen anime based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Masakazu Ishiguro.
It is still ongoing, with eight manga volumes issued since its debut on January 25, 2018, in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine.

What Will the Heavenly Delusion Anime Cover?
Given that the first episode of Heavenly Delusion covered the first three chapters of the manga, we can assume that the anime will cover at least 39 chapters and/or 40 chapters at most.
This means that Heavenly Delusion will begin in Chapter 1: Tokio and end in Chapter 40: Dream of Hell.
It is, however, up to the pacing of the anime produced by Production I.G to corroborate this speculation.
Heavenly Delusion tells the story of Maru and Kiruko as they search for a place called Heaven in a post-apocalyptic world where Tokyo has been hit by a calamity, leaving hundreds of dead people.
Worse, the world has become infested with man-eaters who try to haunt the remaining humans in the world.
Elsewhere, children are educated and cared for by both human and robot teachers. They are safe within the wall, where a little kid with the same face as Maru lives!
Is this the heaven that Maru seeks? After all, Maru's mission is to find his doppelganger and inject him with some kind of serum that might save the world.
How Many Episodes Will Heavenly Delusion Have?
Heavenly Delusion will have a total of 13 episodes this spring season, which means the anime will run for a single cour.
A single cour anime show refers to those anime titles running for a single anime season, lasting one to three months, with at least 11-13 episodes.
This has been confirmed after Heavenly Delusion released its Blu-ray and DVD announcements on its official website.
The first Blu-ray box of Heavenly Delusion will contain Episodes 1–6 and will also include a special booklet, a bonus CD, a special sticker, OP and ED, as well as a colored illustration by Masakazu Ishiguro. It will be released on August 30, 2023.
The second Blu-ray box of the anime will contain Episodes 7–13 and will be released on September 27, 2023, almost a month after its first Blu-ray box release.
Similar to the first Blu-ray box, the second one will also come with a special booklet, bonus CD, and a special sticker.
When Do New Heavenly Delusion Episodes Get Released?
Beginning April 1, 2023, new episodes of Heavenly Delusion will be released. It will come out every Saturday for international regions such as the US, the UK, Europe, and even Japan.
Disney+ will be streaming all episodes of Heavenly Delusion worldwide. Hence, if you’re not yet subscribed to the streaming platform, you will not be able to watch the anime’s episodes.
During the spring season, Heavenly Delusion will air in Japan alongside Hell’s Paradise, Edens Zero Season 2, Edomae Elf, Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers, Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story Season 2, The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, Rokudo’s Bad Girls, and even Tonikaku Kawaii Season 2.
