What Does Hayley Atwell Think of Her Captain Carter Cameo in Doctor Strange 2?

During her recent appearance at the For the Love of Fantasy & Sci-Fi convention in London (via Deadline), Hayley Atwell opened up about her cameo appearance as Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
She expressed disappointment over the character's quick demise, as she felt that it was a disservice to the character.
"If I’m really like brutally honest, I was so disappointed with how they positioned her and what happened to her in that scene," the actress said. "It’s so small, and she gets frisbeed to death."
Atwell shared that she tried to make suggestions during filming, but they were not entertained.
She added, "I tried on set to kind of go, ‘Can I just add? Can I just suggest?’ And they were like, ‘Sure, but no.' I felt that was like a bum steer and a complete disservice to the character."
Nevertheless, Atwell is still hopeful that she will have the opportunity to play the character again in live-action and have an extended appearance.
"I hope maybe one day in the future they’ll give her more in that capacity," she said.
For now, Atwell will be reprising the role of Peggy Carter in Avengers: Doomsday, although it remains to be seen how the character will play out in the story.
