Haliey Welch (aka Hawk Tuah Girl) has finally opened up about the crypto scandal that led to her temporary disappearance from the spotlight.

During December of last year, Welch released a meme coin called $HAWK. However, it crashed in the crypto market, and it led to the investors filing a lawsuit against the creators.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Welch opened up about her crypto scandal and how she lamented the headlines that the controversy created at that time.

"I hate that that’s even a thing. Half of those people that done it were, like, my fans. They trusted me, like, guiding them to it. And I don’t know... It really hurt my feelings when it turned out the way it did. I wish it hadn’t have happened," she said.

"I see things a lot differently than I used to. My eyes are open a lot wider."

When asked about the lesson that she learned from the experience, Welch said, "Definitely be careful what you tie your name into and who you trust."

The viral sensation is also planning to continue evolving her podcast. "I’m hoping my podcast gets rebranded in the way I’m seeing it in my head — the vision I’ve got. And I hope it grows," she said.

Her plan for her podcast is to "just making it more girlier and more authentic to me."

Is Haliey Welch Also Planning to Become an Actress?

There are reports that Welch is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming Glenn Powell comedy series Chad Powers, which will premiere on Hulu later this year.

She is reportedly playing herself in a cameo appearance during a scene with Powell's character.

Welch shared that she had a wonderful experience working on the series, and it made her consider doing more acting in the future.

"It was definitely something I would do again. It was so much fun. The whole team was great. I honestly think I could do it," she said.

"I don’t know if I could do a whole movie by myself because that’s a lot of work and lines to remember. But I don’t know. Bits and pieces, just popping in here and there — I think that would be so much fun."
