Star Wars fans were surprised when Harrison Ford returned as Han Solo once again in The Rise of Skywalker. However, it left fans wondering about whether or not Han was just a memory of his son, Kylo Ren, or that he actually became a Force ghost. The fans surely won't know because it isn't officially confirmed yet, and, it looks like Ford doesn't know anything about it either.

"A Force ghost? I don't know what a Force ghost is," Ford told USA Today when asked to weigh in on the debate amongst fans about his return. "Don't tell anyone. I'm not talking loud enough for your recorder." He then had a hilarious response, saying that he has "no idea" what a Force ghost is and he "doesn't care."

That being said, Ford was pretty much in on the idea of his character retuning in the final installment of the Skywalker Saga. One, because he thinks it'll be an important part of Kylo Ren's path to redemption, and two, he was just glad to have another scene with Adam Driver again.

So although the mystery of whether or not he returned as a Force ghost in the film has yet to be answered, his surprise return was both a delightful and emotional moment for fans. With his character death in The Force Awakens, fans weren't expecting him to appear in Episode IX, but when he did, he delivered an epic pivotal scene.
