He stayed in Wisconsin and joined several local theatre productions there and in 1964, he went to L.A. to audition for a radio voice-over job.

With a family to support, he became a carpenter and worked for George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola. He also met The Godfather producer Fred Roos, who secured an audition for him in the next George Lucas project.

He then became a part of American Graffiti and its success gave birth to the actor named Harrison Ford.

The Rise of Harrison Ford

With the success of American Graffiti, George Lucas finally got the funds to begin the production of his epic space opera from Fox.

Though Harrison Ford had unforgettable parts in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation and Apocalypse Now, George Lucas’ Star Wars made him an international superstar.

His paycheck grew from American Graffiti’s $500 a week to $10,000 from the 1977 Star Wars.

Though nothing is known about his paychecks for the first three movies, he reportedly received a massive $65 million from the 2008 Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It was the 12th-largest paycheck in acting history.
