Liam Neeson recently candidly shared his major nitpick on Qui-Gon Jinn's death in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.
The legendary actor notably played the fan-favorite Jedi Master in the first prequel trilogy film. While the character faced his demise during a climactic fight scene with Darth Maul, he has remained beloved for many years since then, and some fans are still clamoring for more of his stories and appearances in the franchise.
What Does Liam Neeson Really Think of Qui-Gon Jinn's Death in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace?

Speaking with GQ, Neeson admitted that he still has a bone to pick with the way his character Qui-Gon Jinn died in Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace after all these years.
He expressed his dissatisfaction over how the Jedi Master met his demise, especially since he is supposed to be a powerful character.
"I thought my death was a bit namby-pamby. I’m supposed to be a Master Jedi. My character fell for that. ‘Oh, I’m going for your face! No, I’m not, I’m going for your stomach.’ ‘Oh, you got me!’ Like, oh please. Hardly a Master Jedi," the actor said.
Despite his nitpicks on his character's death, Neeson still had a "great" filming experience.
Fans were happy when he also reprised his role a few years ago in the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, where he appeared as the Force ghost version of Qui-Gon Jinn.
"I kinda liked that. It was just one line. It was nice to recreate that and be with Ewan [McGregor] after 18, 20 years. It was sweet," Neeson recalled filming his reunion with McGregor in the series.
Is Liam Neeson Open to Returning as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars?
In an interview last year, Neeson shot down the possibility of playing Qui-Gon Jinn again in a future Star Wars project.
He cited his old age as the reason why he has no interest in donning the Jedi robe again and reprising his iconic role in the franchise.
"I enjoyed very much being with Ewan [McGregor] and George Lucas on The Phantom Menace. We shot that 26 years ago! Would I do it again? I don't think so. Too f****** old, ya know? I can't see the situation, I really can't, you know?" Neeson said.
Aside from his Obi-Wan Kenobi cameo, Neeson also reprised the role of Qui-Gon Jinn in an episode of the animated series Tales of the Jedi.
