Hailey Bieber's Rhode brand is on the cusp of a major financial breakthrough, with a billion-dollar deal reportedly inked with e.l.f. Beauty. This success comes as her husband, Justin Bieber, navigates his own financial hurdles.
How Did Hailey Bieber Secure a Billion-Dollar Deal for Rhode?
According to the press release, the billion-dollar deal consisted of "$800 million of consideration payable at closing in a combination of cash and stock, subject to customary adjustments" with an additional "$200 million for the potential earnout consideration based on the future growth of the brand" over three years.
Apart from securing the billion-dollar deal, Rhode earned a total of $212 million in net sales in the past 12 months up to March 31, 2025, and the products will also launch in Sephora later this year.
Hailey launched her skincare brand, Rhode, in 2022 and earned the No. 1 skincare brand in Earned Media Value in 2024, while representing 367% year-over-year EMV growth, which is nothing short of her gushing over her hard work.
She took to Instagram to gush about the news, "When I launched @rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company, and the most important thing to me is to keep bringing rhode to more spaces, places, and faces globally." Check out the full post below:
Per the press release, e.l.f. Chairman and CEO Tarang Amin said that their brand "found a like-minded disruptor in the fast-growing brand Rhode," which would "diversify their portfolio" as they take on the new journey to "break beauty barriers" while "aligning with e.l.f. Beauty's vision."
Ahead of Rhode's launch, Hailey, who had gone viral for "glazed donut skin" in 2022, said that her business is all about creating an "all-inclusive beauty company."
"It was very important to me that if I open up the world of Rhode, everyone is invited," Hailey said previously, "Everyone is included. I wanted it to be accessible and attainable for everyone."
According to reports from Page Six/The Post: "Hailey's 100% the breadwinner now."
How Much is Justin Bieber's Reported Debt?
As Hailey Bieber celebrates her major career milestone, her husband, Justin, is experiencing financial consequences of his own.
From the cancellation of his "Justice" tour in 2022 and reportedly owing his former manager, Scooter Braun, over $8,806,000, per documents obtained by TMZ, the 31-year-old pop superstar may have to start addressing his issues with money.
The 8 million Scooter Braun lent him was to cover the costs of the tour debt.
Last October, Justin, who reportedly has an estimated net worth of $300 million and sold his music catalog for $200 million in 2022, was considering suing his financial managers for "allegedly squandering $300 million of his fortune."
Previously, an insider told Page Six that ultimately, the Ghost singer's spending habits were fully to blame for the pile of debt, given he was "out of control."
"He spends eye-watering amounts per month. At one point, he couldn't even get a credit card," the source further claimed, "Justin is surrounded by a lot of people that do not have his best interests at heart."
Despite such reports, Justin's rep denied dealing with any financial woes, claiming that the entertainment industry or any unsourced claims are "trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality."
