One of the highlights of Hawkeye is the introduction of Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, a casting that fans have been raving about ever since it was announced and her performance in the series delivered what they've been hoping for. There have been questions about the future of the Oscar-nominated actress in the MCU and now it looks like it has been finally cemented.
According to Variety, Marvel Studios has plans for Steinfeld to reprise the role of Kate Bishop in future MCU projects thus confirming her bigger involvement in the franchise after her debut last year. The information came from their report regarding the multiple nominations that the MCU shows received at this year's Primetime Emmy Awards.
So far, there are no confirmed details yet about the future MCU projects that Steinfeld is set to appear in. There have been rumors that she will make an appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania after being spotted on the set which made fans speculate that they might be setting up the Young Avengers.
It is great to hear a confirmation that Steinfeld will make more appearances in the MCU since her performance as Kate Bishop was considered a standout in Hawkeye and the character is considered a fan favorite in the comics. Now, it looks like it is very much clear that the character will have a larger presence in the MCU moving forward.
While Steinfeld failed to earn a nomination for her performance as Kate Bishop, Hawkeye still managed to receive nods for Outstanding Stunt Performance and Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or Variety Program during the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards nomination announcement yesterday. It is unknown yet if the series will have a second season.
