The Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump movie is finally coming to US cinemas. Ahead of the film's long-awaited theatrical release, fans are wondering if the Haikyuu!! Final movie has a post-credits scene.
Despite being called the “final” movie, this film is just the first of a two-part film series. This means fans are expecting to see a post-credits scene to hype up the next installment.
Even though the film is only about to come out in the US, fans in Japan and other Asian countries have already seen the movie, meaning there's no info on the film's post-credits scene.
Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Haikyuu manga, so proceed with caution.
Does the Haikyuu Final Movie Have a Post-Credits Scene?
The Haikyuu Final movie has a post-credits scene. This was confirmed by fan reactions from Japan such as @todokugou on X way back in February.
Soon, more fans in other countries confirmed that the movie indeed has a post-credits scene.
To be exact, the movie will feature a scene at the end that shows Korai Hoshiumi, the ace of Kamomedai High. In the scene, he confronts Shoyo Hinata with a challenge.
This isn’t too surprising given that Karasuno High’s next match following their Nekoma High game is against Kamomedai.
Based on the film's international screenings, the scene plays after the credits, meaning fans shouldn't leave the theater as soon as the credits roll.
While post-credits scenes have become synonymous with Marvel and other superhero movies, many anime films now have bonus scenes like these.
For instance, Spy x Family Code: White features a post-credits scene, albeit a short and funny one with no real bearing on the story.
Meanwhile, the Haikyuu movie's scene directly leads into the next entry in the two-part movie series. This has gotten many fans excited for the story's epic conclusion.

Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump Fans Can't Wait for the Second Film
While the Haikyuu manga ended in 2020, the anime adaptation by Production I.G has not yet wrapped up its story. After the fourth season in late 2020, no new anime installment was released.
In mid-2022, fans were treated to the Haikyuu Final two-part film announcement. As the title implies, these two films will serve as the conclusion of the anime’s story.
For the most part, fans who have already seen the movie have praised it for its great action and animated sequences.
Of course, there are some criticisms regarding the movie's pace given that it cuts out some parts.
Overall, though, the film's quality coupled with the exciting post-credits scene has most fans excited for the next movie.
The Haikyuu Dumpster Battle movie is coming to US cinemas on May 31, 2024. There's no word yet on a release date for the next movie.
