Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s Script By James Gunn Is Making People Cry

Disney might have fired Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn six months ago, but it looks like a lucky few in Hollywood managed to take a look at the script that the filmmaker made for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and it looks like the writer made a story so emotional it made everyone who read it shed tears.

Slash Film's writer Peter Sciretta took to Twitter to announce that he had talked to two different people who had read Guardians of the Galaxy 3's script, both of which told him that they ended up crying after going through the script.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a heartbreaking movie, so we're not surprised that Gunn's work with the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be as equally as emotional, bringing readers to tears.

Of course, there's still the issue about whether or not Marvel and Disney plan on using the full script for the actual production of the final film in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Though there have been reports that the studios do plan on using the script, there still hasn't been a full confirmation from Disney itself.

Back in July, Disney had fired Gunn for inappropriate tweets made fourteen years in the past. The tweets were dug up by an alt-right supporter who intended to create a smear campaign against the filmmaker, and despite the fact that Gunn had apologized for the posts years before, Disney decided to let go of the filmmaker. Right now, Marvel has to find a director to replace Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and we can only hope that whoever the studio hires sticks with the script and vision the filmmaker had for the film.
