Go Go Loser Ranger has announced a second season along with a release date window, much to fans’ delight. What’s more, they won't have to wait much longer for the sequel, as it is coming sooner than anticipated.
Go Go Loser Ranger Season 2 Is Now in the Works
While it may have been overshadowed by other bigger shows such as Demon Slayer season 4, Mushoku Tensei season 2 part 2, and Kaiju No. 8 in the spring season, Go Go Loser Ranger has proven to be a surprise success as it was immediately confirmed to get a second season.
The announcement came after the twelfth and final episode of season 1 aired, with the series' official accounts revealing that season 2 is now in production.
This exciting news was accompanied by an announcement trailer and an illustration by director Keiichi Sato, thanking fans for their support.
The series' renewal isn't too surprising given its warm reception from both local and international fans, as evidenced by its above-average scores of 7.45/10 on MyAnimeList and 7.77/10 on LiveChart.
Go Go Loser Ranger S2 to Premiere Next Year
In addition to confirming its continuation, Go Go Loser Ranger revealed that season 2 is set to premiere sometime in 2025.
While the announcement didn't specify the exact release date, it is likely to debut in spring 2025 at the earliest, based on the release pattern of Yostar Pictures, the anime's production studio.
For reference, the studio’s action fantasy series Arknights: Prelude to Dawn premiered in the fall of 2022, with its sequel, Arknights: Perish in Frost, debuting a year later in the fall of 2023.
If Go Go Loser Ranger follows a similar schedule, fans can expect season 2 to premiere in early April 2025, a year after the first episode of season 1 was released.
What Could Go Go Loser Ranger S2 Be About? Our Predictions
The anime’s first season finished adapting until chapter 51 of the manga titled Breaking News. This chapter is also the final part of the Bailong's Nest Arc, which showcases D's growth throughout the series.
Therefore, season 2 will likely pick up from where the first season left off, starting with chapter 52, titled A Sister, A Brother, and the Mysterious Disappearances.
This chapter also marks the beginning of the next arc, called the Dreamy School Life Arc, which sees the Green Battalion discover several disappearances in the area.
Their investigation leads them to a mysterious high school, so they delve deeper into the mystery.
The second season will likely cover both the Dreamy School Life Arc and the succeeding Green Keeper Arc, where D uncovers the true identity of the Green Keeper and decides to monitor him to find his weakness.
