Frozen 2 Hopes To Answer Some Of The Franchise’s Biggest Questions

Frozen created a medieval universe filled with hints of magic. Now, the sequel to the computer-animated musical fantasy is set out to explore more of that mystical universe and to answer some of the biggest questions left by the original Frozen movie.

Speaking with members of the press during the Frozen 2 press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios (via Screen Rant), Frozen 2 co-director Chris Buck decided to open up about some of the questions that the movie would explore when it releases in November.

"And there were still a lot of questions from the first film that were unanswered, and one of them was why does Elsa have icy powers? How have they grown since Anna saved Elsa's life? Why was Anna born the way she was? Where were the parents going when their ship went down? And is there really such a thing as happily ever after?" Buck said during the press event.

The director's comments spark a whole lot of interest not because they're brand new queries, but because it seems like Buck is hinting at a "happily ever after." What does a happily ever after mean for Anna and Elsa? Will Anna and Elsa finally find their family? Given how grounded the first Frozen movie was, we're expecting Frozen 2 to do the same. Perhaps the sisters will finally come to terms with the loss of their parents on their trip. Perhaps they'll find the family they need in themselves.

Let's wait and see.

Frozen 2 premieres November 22, 2019.
