Mingus Reedus, the son of The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus and Victoria's Secret Angel Helena Christensen, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

He has retained Priya Chaudhry, the defense attorney who previously represented Jonathan Majors in his high-profile assault case.

What's Happened to Norman Reedus' Son's Alleged Assault Case?

The 25-year-old model Mingus was taken into custody on Saturday for alleged domestic violence. It was the officers' response to a call about a woman who had taken pills, threatening to commit suicide over the line.

A police source told The Post that Mingus allegedly punched the victim on the leg, which caused redness, and then choked her and slammed her to the ground. Prosecutors alleged that he choked his 33-year-old girlfriend "with such force" that he "lifted her off the ground."

He was formally charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault.

In the Manhattan Criminal Court, new charges emerged that Saturday night, which included reckless physical injury, aggravated harassment, and second-degree harassment. He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

"You want to watch me kill myself?" the model asked The Post while he was walking outside of his apartment in New York City on Sunday.

Is Mingus Reedus' Lawyer the Same Lawyer as Jonathan Majors?

In court, Mingus's lawyer was revealed to be Priya Chaudhry, who happened to be the same attorney who defended former Marvel star Jonathan Majors in another high-profile assault case.

Chaudhry claimed that Mingus' latest arrest is a "misunderstanding" and that the couple's roughly five-month relationship came to an end when Mingus called it off, which allegedly distressed the victim and led her to take "a number of sleeping pills."

According to Chaudhry, the victim has since moved out of their shared home, is "not afraid" of Mingus, and has no interest in proceeding with the case or pressing charges. Mingus has since then been ordered to stay away from the victim.

This isn't the first time Mingus had troubles with the law, as he was busted in 2021 for allegedly slugging a woman at the San Gennaro festival in Little Italy. He took a plea deal to disorderly conduct, which required him to stay out of trouble for a year and undergo five counseling sessions.

As for Chaudhry's case with Majors, the actor may have lost his villainous MCU role amid allegations, but in the end, his former girlfriend slash victim, Grace Jabbari, has agreed to dismiss the lawsuit alleging that the actor assaulted her and defamed her.
