The long wait is over as the release date window of Fire Force season 3 has been confirmed, which means Shinra and the Special Fire Force Company 8 are finally returning after being missing in action for almost four years.
The end is near for the shonen anime series, as the third and final season is expected to cover the remaining chapters of the manga.
Fire Force Season 3 Gets Split Two-Cour Run Beginning in April
At Crunchyroll’s panel during this year’s Anime Expo, the company announced that Fire Force season 3/final season will have a two split-cour run, which means fans could expect to watch 48–52 episodes of the Fire Force anime.
The first part of Fire Force season 3 has an April 2025 release, followed by the second part’s debut in January 2026.
So far, there’s no exact release date for the third season’s two parts, but the first episode is expected to drop on the first week of April for part 1 and the first week of January for part 2.
In addition to the release date window, a new trailer and visual have also been unveiled to tease the anime fans about what’s to come to Shinra and his friends.
Crunchyroll to Stream Fire Force S3
Crunchyroll will stream Fire Force season 3 parts 1 and 2 on its platform with English subtitles and most likely with an English dub at a later date.
It will be available in regions such as North America, Central America, South America, Oceania, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and even the CIS.
Ahead of the third season, fans can re-watch the first two seasons of Fire Force on Crunchyroll in English sub and dub to revisit Shinra’s exciting adventures.
As of writing, there’s no word on whether other streaming platforms would add Fire Force season 3 to their platform.
What Could Fire Force S3 Cover? Our Predictions
Since Fire Force season 3 will be the final season of the action-packed shonen anime series, it is expected to cover the remaining chapters of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo.
This means Fire Force season 3 could cover more than 120 chapters of the manga starting from chapter 175 spanning a total of 48 to 52 episodes since the third season is getting a split two-cour run.
In other words, the third season is expected to cover 10 story arcs, from the remaining events taking place in Obi’s Rescue Arc to the Epilogue Arc.
While this sounds promising, some fans are concerned that the third season could be a rushed adaptation due to the number of story arcs it could adapt from the manga series.
