Fantastic Four Casting Campaigns Begin For Marvel's Rumored Cosmic Film Featuring Doctor Doom

A few weeks ago, it was rumored that Marvel Studios is planning a film centered on the Fantastic Four, which will bring Marvel's First Family to space in a cosmic adventure that will also feature Doctor Doom.

Excitement is at an all-time high now that the Disney and Fox merger is complete. Now, fans are ready to see the Fantastic Four join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they know which actors should bring them to life.

John Krasinski seems to be the fan-favorite for Mr. Fantastic. The actor, who was actually the second choice for Captain America after Chris Evans, has admitted that he would love to play the character.

"Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I'm still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn't read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I'm a huge superhero fan so yeah, I'd love to do something like that," the actor said last year when asked about the possibility.

"If they're are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that are left, yeah, I would love to do something like that. And listen, I'd love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great," he went on to say.

Fans also believe that Emily Blunt is the perfect choice for Invisible Woman. Like Krasinski, she was originally going to be in the MCU as Black Widow. However, conflict in schedule forced her to back out.

This means that the actress has already won Marvel Studios over, so it might be easier for her to land the Fantastic Four role. Also, fans believe that the fact that she and Krasinski are married will make for convincing onscreen chemistry. Here they are reimagined as Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

As for The Thing and Human Torch are Stranger Things stars David Harbour and Dacre Montgomery, respectively. The former is currently playing the new Hellboy while the latter is known by Power Rangers fans as Red Ranger.

For Doctor Doom, many fans want Michael Fassbender for the role. This character is just as important as the Fantastic Four themselves so it has to be cast right. A lot of people believe that the actor will be amazing in the role. He's already got the geek cred with his performance as Magneto in the X-Men films generally loved. The name of Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is also being thrown around though.

What are the chances of this group of people launching the Fantastic Four franchise on MCU? Well, it certainly shows that Krasinski and Blunt impressed the studio. Also remember that Benedict Cumberbatch was the number one pick of fans for Doctor Strange. To be fair, Marvel always envisioned him for the role.

The planned Fantastic Four film is said to be based on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic book series although details are scare at this time.
