Amanda Seyfried recently went viral for her cover of a Joni Mitchell song, and fans are now clamoring for her to star in a biopic of the iconic singer.
Throughout the years, the Oscar-nominated actress has proven that, aside from her talent in acting, she also has great singing skills as proven by her musical roles in Mamma Mia and Les Miserables.

During her recent guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Seyfried performed a cover of Joni Mitchell's "California" using a dulcimer.
She shared that she learned how to use a dulcimer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Then, she explained why she chose a Mitchell song as her showcase.
"I would love to play something that's about a state which deserves a lot of love right now. Because she wrote a lot of the songs from the Blue album on the dulcimer, and I learned a lot of her stuff from the Blue album when the world stopped," the actress said.
Then, she proceeded to strum the opening notes and sing "California" where she sounded eerily similar to Mitchell.
Seyfried's cover of "California" was met with roaring applause from both Jimmy Fallon and the studio audience.

A lot of fans online weighed in on Seyfried's cover of "California" on social media and it was also met with positive reactions.
Most of them have expressed interest in seeing Seyfriend play Mitchell in a biopic due to the eerie similarity of her voice with the iconic singer.
