Eyes are now on the upcoming Fallout Season 3, following a second season filled with big reveals and setups for future installments.
Season 2 expanded the story of the popular video game it’s based on, taking some bold narrative swings along the way.
From reuniting fan-favorite heroes to following The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) on a new adventure, here’s what fans can expect in Fallout Season 3.
What Will Happen in Fallout Season 3?
Warning: Major spoilers ahead. Consider yourself warned.

Season 2 ended with a major reveal: the Enclave is the series’ true villain. Fallout Season 3 is expected to explore their role as the real masterminds behind everything happening.
In fact, Steph (Annabel O’Hagan) sends a message to the Enclave to initiate “Phase 2.” And whatever they’re planning, Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) is clearly involved.
However, fans are set to see a very different side of him when the show returns, after Lucy (Ella Purnell) installs a mind-control device on him.
Before his mind is fully reset, Hank admits that he sent a batch of his chip test subjects into the Wasteland – though it hasn’t yet been revealed what their mission is.
By the looks of it, this storyline will play out in Fallout Season 3, with the Enclave taking center stage.
Elsewhere, war will also continue into the next season. After Lucy and Maximus (Aaron Moten) reunite in the Season 2 finale, the two become involved in igniting new conflicts.
As the Brotherhood’s civil war begins, Caesar’s (Macaulay Culkin) Legion is set to clash with the NCR in Vegas.
How Did Fallout Season 2 End?

A lot happened in the Fallout Season 2 finale, leaving fans with more questions than answers about The Ghoul, his past, his family, and Vault-Tec’s plans for the Wasteland more than 200 years ago.
While Lucy and her father, Hank, have a tense confrontation, the fate of The Ghoul’s family remains a mystery.
Season 2 ends with The Ghoul and Maximus working together to save Lucy after Hank takes her prisoner in New Vegas.
Maximus fends off a group of Deathclaws as The Ghoul locates Lucy inside Robert House’s (Justin Theroux) Lucky 38 casino – just in time to stop Hank from implanting his daughter with a mind-control device.
The Ghoul shoots Hank in the backside and tosses a gun to Lucy, allowing her to decide her father’s fate.
He then confronts House, who had promised to show him where his wife, Barb (Frances Turner), and daughter, Janey (Teagan Meredith), were kept in cryostasis for the past two centuries.
However, when The Ghoul finally reaches the chambers, he instead finds a postcard addressed to Colorado, leading him to believe his family may still be alive.
“Colorado was a good idea,” reads the note written on the back of the card.
While House offers his condolences, The Ghoul remains hopeful, declaring for the first time that he believes his family is still alive after “200 long ass years.”
So far, there’s no word on when Fallout Season 3 will be released. However, with the gap between Seasons 1 and 2 lasting about a year and a half, the next season could arrive on Prime Video as early as summer 2027.
