EXO Sehun Returns As Protagonist In TVING's Romance Drama Love, Hara High School

EXO's Sehun is booked and busy this 2022 after confirming his appearance in TVING's Love, Hara High School.

After the success of his movie The Pirates 2, the 27-year-old star will mesmerize fans with a new role.

EXO Sehun Confirmed to Star in High School Romance Drama

According to a Korean media outlet, Sehun's agency SM Entertainment confirmed his next project and "will appear as the main character in the new TV series."

Titled Love, Hara High School, the singer-actor will transform as a high school student playing the protagonist Goo Yoo.

Helmed by Kangchi, The Beginning and The Great Queen Seondeok director alongside scriptwriter Kang Bo Ra, EXO Sehun's new drama focuses on love and friendship in high school years.

In the upcoming K-drama, Goo Yoo has a unique trait, making him different from his fellow second-year students.

The 18-year-old is known for his charm and intelligence despite not studying diligently.

Apart from it, he also enjoys playing basketball; however, it has become noticeable that he has been growing non-stop. Although it's somehow beneficial for his sports, it sparks concern with his family.

Love, Hara High School will also highlight Goo Yoo's disorder called cellular memory syndrome, which he developed after he received a kidney transplant from his friend Joon Hee.

Sehun's new drama with TVING will start production in April and is set to debut sometime this 2022.

The Pirates Director Reveals Why He Cast EXO Sehun as Han Goong

The 27-year-old star had his last lead role in 2018 after headlining the action crime K-drama Dokgo Rewind alongside Kang Mi Na, Cho Byeong Kyu, and My Name Star Ahn Bo Hyun.

Three years later, fans got to see Sehun on the small screen joining Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong in Now We Are Breaking Up, where he played the trendy Hwang Chi Hyung, Choi Hee Seo's brother.

Despite being the son of a CEO, who works as a regular employee of fashion company, The One.

Interestingly, the EXO member welcomed the year with a blockbuster movie, The Pirates 2, together with the star-studded cast, including Kang Ha Neul, Lee Kwang Soo, Han Hyo Joo, Chae Soo Bin and more.

Sehun proved that he could portray various characters after he took on the role of skilled archer Han Goong.

On the other hand, The Pirates 2 director revealed why he chose EXO's Sehun to pay Han Goong.

According to Soompi,  director Kim Jung Hoon says that the character could pin down an enemy through his gaze; hence, he cast the singer-actor for his overall charisma, which is the right vibe for the role.

"That's why I searched for an actor with a powerful gaze, both strong and cold and I happened to come across Sehun."
