The Eternals was recently pushed back to February 2021, but this doesn't stop Marvel fans from being excited for what's to come in the film. One of the latest addition to the cast is Salma Hayek, who is really excited to play her character, Ajak.

In a recent interview with Total Film magazine, Hayek shares her excitement to becoming a Latino superhero. "At 53 - finally!" she said. "I can be a superhero."

The actor then proceeded to talk a little bit about her role. "I play Ajak," she said. "Who is the leader of the superheroes and all of them are people you would never have imagined. Except for Angelina [Jolie]. Angelina – she was born to be a superhero!"

Of course, Hayek can't say much about her character and the movie's plot, but she did provide a little information. "The rest of us [Eternals] are like misfits, and we're all superheroes, and I get to be the leader," she explained. "That sounds really appropriate! Yes, why not? Let's go! It just made me feel like, ‘Maybe they're doing something different.' And they are."

Hayek says what attracted her most about the movie is director Chloe Zhao. The actor says Zhao was "amazing" and "incredible" and that she was blown away by her movie, The Rider.

Needless to say, fans can't wait to see Zhao's take on the epic ensemble. That said, the wait would be a little longer because of the delay.

The Eternals is set for release on February 12, 2021.
