Aside from Ellen DeGeneres, Johnny Depp also dominated the headlines sometime in 2021 amid his domestic abuse scandal. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor lost his libel case against the British tabloid The Sun in November.
The 58-year-old star filed a lawsuit against the publication after it labeled him a “wife beater” in a detailed article about his 15-month marriage to Amber Heard. The Aquaman actress, who filed for divorce in 2016, said in court:
Johnny Depp countered Amber Heard’s accusations and claimed that his ex-wife left human feces in their Los Angeles penthouse bed and threw a vodka bottle at him, which wound up severing his fingertip to the bone.
