Elizabeth Olsen Addressed Joining House Of The Dragons With Henry Cavill
The Wanda Vision star sat down for an interview with Variety. They talked about the various characters she played, especially her superhero character Wanda Maximoff a.k.a Scarlett Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
She was also asked about the rumor that she would be joining the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon. There are speculations that both she and the Man of Steel star, Henry Cavill, are joining the HBO series.
"Have you seen the rumor that you and Henry Cavill are joining House of the Dragon in Season 2?" the interviewer asked. "No, I haven't seen that rumor! But I'm up to date on House of the Dragon," Olsen replied.
When the interviewer pressed her for more details if that was a " no," she confirmed it. Olsen nodded and said the rumor was so "random."
"Also, how random. Why him? Why me?" she added.
"I can't even think of how random that is. I don't even know that guy, either!"
Cavill is known for playing Superman in multiple DC films. However, he reportedly jumped ships by joining MCU.
During the D23 Expo, there were rumors that he was among the MCU's Fantastic Four. One netizen present at the event shared a photo of Cavill's picture for the multiverse saga alongside John Boyega, Seth Rogen and more. Cavill is reportedly playing Viktor von Doom, a.k.a Doctor Doom.
Elizabeth Olsen Shared Embarrassing Marvel Scene
Elizabeth Olsen spoke about her experience filming the Avengers movies. According to her, she knew that Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man would die. She was also aware that her on-screen partner, Paul Bettany's character, Vision, would also die.
She then went on and shared how she felt filming those scenes when those characters died.
"So, it's very embarrassing shooting those kinds of things, because, like, the world depends on you doing it. And we did some improvising, which is hard to improvise those moments," Olsen explained.
"But it also felt good, because at that point, Paul [Bettany] and I really had each other's back. It was one of the last things we shot. I felt really comfortable with him as an actor if we had to improvise that beat a little bit."
She added that the Russo brothers were guiding them, and when they were done with the scene, it was "a huge amount of relief."
"These movies are very silly, but you have to act your a-- off for them to work," she continued.
When the interviewer asked why she felt the scene was embarrassing, Olsen explained and demonstrated how they dramatized the scene.
"Because you're like — [holds out her hand]. Ugh, I'm doing this in public. But you have one hand out that's stopping something with energy.," she explained. "And then you've got another hand that's extracting this fake thing from this dotted face. And it's painful and emotional."
