The Dungeon People anime will be streamed on HIDIVE, making this new fantasy anime one of HIDIVE’s highlight shows in its summer 2024 slate.
Ahead of its streaming release on the platform, HIDIVE also confirmed that it will bring the anime to Anime Expo 2024 this July for its North American premiere.
While HIDIVE has not shared the exact release time of the anime yet, we can get a good idea based on its North American premiere and Japanese broadcast times.
HIDIVE to Stream Dungeon People Anime
Dungeon People is a new fantasy comedy anime based on an ongoing manga of the same name by Sui Futami. This anime features many notable cast members from notable fantasy anime.
For instance, the lead role of Clay is voiced by Sayaka Senbongi (Marcille in Delicious in Dungeon). Meanwhile, Sayumi Suzushiro (Lawine in Frieren) voices Belle.
Instead of being released on Crunchyroll like many of summer 2024’s anticipated titles, Dungeon People will be streamed on HIDIVE.
Currently, there’s no word yet on an exact release date and time for Dungeon People episode 1 on HIDIVE, though we can take a guess based on its Japanese broadcast.
In Japan, the anime will premiere on July 5 on MBS and TBS. Then, it will be broadcast on AT-X on July 8.
Given this, coupled with the fact that its North American premiere is happening on July 6, chances are that we’ll see Dungeon People premiere on the 8th after its AT-X broadcast.
HIDIVE Is Bringing Dungeon People to Anime Expo for North American Premiere
Over the years, Anime Expo 2024 has hosted lots of anime premieres for highly anticipated shows, so it makes sense that HIDIVE is showcasing its new fantasy anime there.
To be exact, Dungeon People’s premiere is scheduled on July 6 at 5:45 PM Pacific Time.
There aren’t many details about the premiere, but either the first or the first two episodes will likely be screened with Japanese audio and English subtitles.
Dungeon People Is OLM’s New Fantasy Comedy Anime
Popular anime studio OLM (of The Apothecary Diaries fame) is handling production duties for Dungeon People.
As its title implies, this anime is set in a fantasy dungeon. There, the thief Clay works as the dungeon’s caretaker.
Instead of exploring the dungeon, Clay interviews monsters and sets traps all over the dungeon. Despite this unusual job, Clay continues to do it as she hopes this will help her find her missing father.
