Kim Kardashian chided the person who stepped on her dress at the Met Gala on Monday, as seen in a circulating video.
That evening, she wore a Croc Leather Chrome Hearts set, a fedora, and diamond necklaces in line with the event’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
Kim Kardashian’s Dress Got Stepped On — and Her Reaction Said It All
Kim Kardashian stunned fans with her attire at the Met Gala on May 5, but before walking the event’s midnight blue carpet, her dress was accidentally stepped on by her security guard.
While leaving the Mark Hotel, Kardashian and her 11-year-old daughter, North West, made their way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The crowd witnessed how the reality TV star responded to the incident.
A video uploaded to TikTok captured the moment, showing Kardashian glaring at the man and muttering inaudible words.
However, lip-reader Nickola Hickling told The Mirror what Kardashian may have said.
“Can you watch where you step?” the 44-year-old reportedly said to the unnamed individual.
Her corseted outfit, which accentuated her figure, was paired with diamond chokers, a pearl belt, and a black leather hat.

Kim Kardashian’s Other Met Gala Beauty Fumbles
Since debuting on the Met Gala carpet in 2013, Kim Kardashian has continued to attend the annual fundraising event. No matter how flashy or daring her outfit may be, she isn’t exempt from wardrobe malfunctions.
Her dress getting accidentally stepped on by her security guard wasn’t the only mishap she encountered that night. She also lost a nail on the floor.
According to a video from Entertainment Tonight, Kardashian looked down as a man stepped in to help find her press-on nail.
Expert lip-reader Nicola Hickling told OK! that the mom-of-four said, “Oh sh*t! Can you find my nail?”
She eventually got it back with the help of someone on the carpet. The camera caught her saying “thank you” in appreciation.
In 2018, a similar incident happened during the Met Gala after-party. Kardashian posted on Snapchat that her golden Versace gown got tangled with SZA’s pink Versace princess gown. She wrote, “When your dress is connected to this beauty. We’re stuck together!”
Similar to what occurred this year, while on the way to the Met Gala venue in 2023 with North West, Kardashian’s Schiaparelli gown lost some of its pearls.
“Some [pearls] popped on the way, and I told my daughter to grab them all. They’re real pearls, and she was putting them all in her purse.” Kardashian told Vogue, describing her fashion faux pas.
