It's that time of year when we wrap things up and look forward to a new start in 2023. For years, Spotify has a feature that gives its users a look back at the songs they used to listen to throughout the year.
The feature, called Spotify Wrapped, has been a pretty exciting wait for users. And at the start of the month, many couldn't help but share their Spotify Wrapped for 2022. The next question is if Netflix has a feature similar to it.
Does Netflix Have a Wrapped for 2022 Feature Like Spotify?
Unfortunately, Netflix has not yet created its own Wrapped feature for its users. But it would really be awesome if they had one since it will give users a look at their viewing activity over the year. Plus, if the feature is like Spotify's, users would get recommendations based on the TV shows and movies they watched in the past.
Are There Any Netflix Wrapped Alternatives?
The good news is that there are a couple of alternatives so you can see a Wrapped for 2022 of your Netflix account. There are third-party sources that you can use to come up with your own Netflix Wrapped for 2022.
These include the following:
Netflix Wrapped Chrome Extension
There is a Chrome Extension that you can use on your desktop or laptop browser. With this feature, you get a breakdown of your viewing activity for the entire year.
The other things that the extension reveals are the hours you watched by month, hours watched by day of the week, genre breakdown, and content rating breakdown.
Kapwing
Another way you can get your own Netflix viewing summary is through Kapwing. The third-party site works by analyzing your viewing activity after you have downloaded it into a CSV file and uploading it to their site. The site will then tell you the number of minutes you binge-watched in 2022, your favorite genre, the number of different shows you watched, as well as the day you watched the most.
You can download your Netflix viewing activity on this site or simply by going to your Netflix Account > Profile & Parental Controls > Viewing Activity. Once on that page, you simply need to 'Download All' and rename the file as 'NetflixViewingHistory.csv."
When you're all done, you can check your Netflix viewing activity for the year and get your very own Netflix Wrapped for 2022 feature.
