Annabeth Chase is one of the most crucial characters and strongest comrades Percy Jackson has, whether it be at Camp Half-Blood or Olympus. With the Disney Plus series about to come out this December, does Annabeth die in Percy Jackson at some point?
MAJOR SPOILER WARNING: PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
Does Annabeth Die in Percy Jackson?
The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series brings a fresh new look to the ensemble and attempts a different type of storytelling for the story of Camp Half-Blood's finest warriors.
Considering that Rick Riordan's original film franchise barely made it through the third book of his best-selling novel series, Disney Plus will be rehashing everyone's childhood favorite books into a seasonal show, instead.
Now, while Riordan continues to write more stories for his iconic trio, does Annabeth die in the Percy Jackson books? Are we looking at yet another inevitable tragic fate for the daughter of Athena?
Annabeth Chase is known to be an extremely intelligent strategist and warrior whether she's on or off the battlefield, so losing her in a fight against the other Half-Bloods or possibly, against the Gods themselves would render a bigger looming storm on Percy Jackson's future.
While she does not meet her demise in the novel series, Annabeth encounters far too many near-death scenes throughout her run. At one point, she almost died in The Last Olympian and The House of Hades due to suffering from fatal injuries.

How Annabeth Chase is Different in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series
Leah Sava Jeffries plays the aforementioned Percy Jackson and the Olympians' character, Annabeth Chase.
Not only is she a much more accurate portrayal of Annabeth at 12 years old, but the trailer showcases just how determined she is to prove her worth to her mother, Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom.
Whether or not the series plans on killing off Annabeth or potentially, any other major characters remains to be seen, but then again, nothing screams adventure until you're almost always at the tail end of death, after all.
Here's the official synopsis of Percy Jackson and the Olympians series coming out on Disney Plus this December:
