Andor star Diego Luna has officially given up on his long-time dream of meeting Jabba the Hutt in the Star Wars galaxy.

The Cassian Andor actor has been a mainstay in the franchise since making his debut as the fan-favorite character in Rogue One. Its success led to the development of the acclaimed prequel series.

Earlier this year, the show's second and final season finally wrapped filming ahead of its premiere next year. However, as he is closing his tenure in the role, he wasn't able to check a bucket list item in the franchise.

In a recent interview, Luna was asked whether he finally had the opportunity to meet Jabba the Hutt.

In case you didn't know, the actor has been a long-time fan of the character since he was young and he expressed his wish in the past for Cassian to meet the Tatooine gangster at some point.

Unfortunately, the actor responded by saying that he had officially given up on his dream to meet Jabba.

"I gave up on that. It's over, it's not happening, and I'm okay with it, you know? I don't want to touch him anymore. It's over, you know?" the Andor star said.

"I sent a message to the universe, and it didn't happen. I sent a message to the galaxy, and ten years later, I'm still talking about it. No! Enough!"

While Luna was not able to achieve his dream of meeting Jabba, he still made a remarkable presence in the Star Wars franchise as Andor became one of the most acclaimed projects in the franchise of all time.

Cassian Andor is now considered to be one of the best characters in Star Wars as we were able to experience the resistance in a profound and nuanced way through his point-of-view and he made a lot of heroic actors that fans won't forget even when the series ends.

The second season of Andor is slated to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
