When prompted to speak at the Golden Globes' red carpet, Ruffalo had one thing to say, and it wasn't about the awarding ceremony at all.

"I'm not feeling so great," the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star told reporters, "We have a woman, Renee Good, who was murdered last week." Ruffalo went on to call Trump's United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents "literal stormtroopers" and added, "[Trump] is a convicted felon, a convicted r*pist. He's a pedophile. He's the worst human being."

Ruffalo didn't mince one word from calling out the US President: "If we're relying on this guy's morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble."

Since the clamor, rumors had it that Ruffalo had allegedly been fired by Disney. While the House of Mouse had yet to address this, Ruffalo was put on the spot in a recent interview while promoting his new movie, Crime 101, where he stars alongside Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry.

"Not that I know of," Ruffalo replied with a smile, "People keep going like, 'Did you get fired?' Not that I know of!"

His Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame co-star Chris Hemsworth interjected to say, "It's nonsense," before Ruffalo went on to say his piece: "I'll be there as long as they'll have me, but I have a good relationship with them. Who knows, there might be things I'm already doing that... [Laughs] I'm around, let me just say that."

It remains to be seen whether Ruffalo is referring to what his role as Bruce Banner aka Hulk is in Spider-Man: Brand New Day or Avengers: Doomsday, but one thing's for sure: he won't be going anywhere, at least until Hulk's still alive and kicking in the billion-dollar franchise.

MCU fans can expect Spider-Man: Brand New Day to premiere in theaters on July 31, 2026.
