The ninth episode of Dragon Ball Daima, titled “Thieves,” focused largely on mini Goku’s group and their aftermath following the fierce battle with Tamagami Number 3. However, the episode’s ending stole the spotlight with a game-changing revelation about Majin Buu.

Hints from Episode 8 were expanded upon, revealing that Marba, a powerful witch from the Demon Realm, was the original creator of Majin Buu, not Bibidi, as previously established in Dragon Ball Z episode 219.

Before this revelation in Daima, series creator Akira Toriyama had already revised Buu’s origin, explaining that Bibidi found Buu rather than creating him and that Buu existed long before recorded history.

As shown in episode 8, Majin Buu was originally created to serve the sinister Bibidi. However, after witnessing the destruction he caused, Marba disowned him, viewing the pink menace as a failed creation.

In Daima, Marba, along with Dr. Arinsu, a key antagonist, finds a way to recreate Buu in a more controlled and obedient form.

Using a combination of Dr. Arinsu’s saliva, various monsters, a fragment of Majin Buu, and Saibamen seeds, Marba creates a new being, Majin Kuu. This crucial moment reshapes Buu’s backstory and adds a fresh dimension to the Buu Saga.

Although Dr. Arinsu’s plan to recreate Majin Buu was hinted at earlier, fans were still shocked to learn that the new Buu, Majin Kuu, contains Saibaman DNA.

This revelation takes fans back to the Saiyan Saga, where the Saibamen were last seen before being obliterated by an enraged Krillin after Yamcha’s death at their hands.

Although Kuu only appeared briefly, viewers can already speculate about his nature based on how he speaks. When ordered to obtain the Dragon Ball from the Tamagami, he responded in a very formal way, suggesting he was a highly intelligent Majin. This implies that Kuu not only possesses immense strength but also the intellect to control and use his power effectively, something Buu never achieved.

With the birth of a new Majin more powerful than the original destructive Buu, Dr. Arinsu’s plans to become the queen of the Demon Realm are now unfolding. Goku and his group, unaware of her manipulations, face greater threats as the stakes continue to rise.

The upcoming episodes are setting the stage for a showdown between Majin Kuu and Tamagami Number 1. Fans can look forward to seeing Kuu’s strength in action and how he stacks up against Dragon Ball’s most infamous villains.
