The Hashira Training Arc is finally here, and to celebrate, Demon Slayer teamed up with Kura Sushi in Japan for a special collab featuring Hashira-inspired menu items.

This new collab was announced just recently by Kura Sushi, and it will be available in restaurants across Japan later this week.

While anime café or food collabs are fairly common in Japan, this one goes the extra mile as it’s going to be available nationwide, not to mention that it features some interesting menu items and merch.

Demon Slayer x Kura Sushi Special Menu Revealed

As one of the most popular shonen anime in recent years, Demon Slayer is no stranger to crossovers, including with popular chain restaurants.

Previously, the anime had a collab with the Dohtonbori okonomiyaki chain in Japan.

Now, its latest collab is with Kura Sushi, a popular conveyor belt sushi chain restaurant in the country. To fans' delight, the collab will feature special menu items inspired by the new arc’s cast.

To start, there is a nigiri sushi platter featuring three pieces with different toppings. First is tuna to symbolize Tanjiro’s hinokami kagura. Then there’s tempura for Inosuke and eel with cheese sauce for Zenitsu.

Two of the Hashira also get menu items. Sanemi Shinazugawa the Wind Hashira is one of them, with his dish being ohagi, or sweet rice ball made with red bean paste.

The other Hashira with a special dish is Obanai Iguro the Serpent Hashira with his spiral potato snack, which is essentially a bowl of curly fries with a special sauce.

Kura Sushi and Demon Slayer Collab to Feature New Collectibles

Café and restaurant collabs are not complete without merch, and this new Demon Slayer crossover also features plenty.

As expected, there are keychains, charms, and can badges, all of which feature new illustrations of the characters in colorful kimonos.

Aside from the main characters such as Tanjiro and Nezuko, all the Hashira are represented in this merch.

As a bonus, the Kura Sushi restaurants in Harajuku, Tokyo, and Namba Parks, Osaka will feature special Demon Slayer-themed designs.

While only two stores will get the designs, the menu items and merch will be available across all Kura Sushi outlets in Japan starting May 24, 2024.

Given that there are Kura Sushi restaurants in the US, some fans are hoping that this collab will also happen in the US.

Is This Collab Coming to Kura Sushi US Restaurants? Our Predictions

There’s no word yet on plans from Kura Sushi to bring the collab to US stores. There’s a good chance it will happen though, especially as Kura Sushi in the US is no stranger to such events.

For instance, the restaurant chain is already gearing up for a One Piece crossover this summer. Before, there were also collaborations with shows such as Dragon Ball.

Fans will probably need to wait a bit before the collab arrives in the US. Fingers crossed that it happens within the next few months.
