Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 first premiered in Japan in July 2025 and remained in theaters for nearly a year. It later debuted internationally in September of the same year and went on to become the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.

Because of its extended theatrical run and multiple re-releases, the movie's streaming debut was pushed back several times.

However, during Anime Expo 2026, it was finally confirmed that the film will begin streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix (in select Asian regions) on July 28.

With Part 1 finally heading to streaming, fans are naturally wondering whether the official release date for Infinity Castle Part 2 will be announced next.

The sequel is expected to arrive in 2027, but studio Ufotable has yet to reveal an exact theatrical release date.

Although there was no announcement during Anime Expo, the approaching streaming release could signal that more news is on the way.

One event fans will be watching closely is Jump Festa in December, where Ufotable could finally unveil the long-awaited release date for Part 2.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle

If Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 featured the major battles between Shinobu Kocho and Doma, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Kaigaku, and Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka against Akaza, Part 2 is expected to raise the stakes even further.

The Demon Slayers are pulled into the Infinity Castle after Muzan Kibutsuji attempts to counter the effects of the drug Tamayo injected into him. As they make their way through the ever-shifting labyrinth, they are forced to confront the remaining Upper Rank demons, the strongest of Muzan's followers.

Although Doma, Kaigaku, and Akaza were defeated in the first film, the biggest threats are still waiting. Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, and Upper Rank Four, Nakime, remain alive, and even the Hashira face an uphill battle against their overwhelming strength.

Nakime, in particular, becomes a crucial target because her Blood Demon Art controls the Infinity Castle itself. As long as she remains alive, the Demon Slayer Corps has no way of escaping the endless fortress.

With the battle against Muzan's forces far from over, Infinity Castle Part 2 is set to deliver even more intense fights when it finally arrives in theaters.
