Death in 2020: Black Mirror’s Creator Mockumentary Project Gets A Teaser

News emerged before December began that there is a project on Netflix which is set to explore the unexpected events that occurred in 2020. Hugh Grant accidentally shared some details on a secret Netflix mockumentary project last November 30.

Grant was filming the project with Black Mirror's creator Charlie Brooker. The project is a satire of what has happened in 2020. Brooker went one step further by revealing the title and the first teaser trailer of the series via his Twitter. The title for the project is Death to 2020. According to Grant, his character is a historian who is being interviewed about the year 2020.

Grant shared the project in an interview with Vulture:

Brooker had previous successful collaborations with Netflix with the series, Black Mirror, which is why it is understandable why some fans believe that it could be connected to his series in some way. However, Grant commented that the project seems to be light-hearted in nature.

The upcoming mockumentary may not have any sci-fi themes to it but fans can still get to see Brooker's sense of humor in the mockumentary. Fans will also get to see his perspective on the pandemic, the political races, riots, mass protests, and many more that occurred in 2020.

Stay tuned for any details on the release date of Death to 2020, as well as the new season of Black Mirror.
