Ryan Reynolds might have found his place in the comic book movie universe as Fox's brassy little Merc with a Mouth, but Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld just can't forget the Canadian actor's beginnings as DC's Green Lantern.
Taking to Twitter, the comic book writer put up a post suggesting that Reynolds try putting on Green Lantern's ring again, arguing that there might be a chance that the actor would gain a more positive response if he'd play the character again.
"I swear to you, I would love to see Ryan return as Green Lantern. I think it would receive positive reactions. The end credits to Deadpool 2 notwithstanding. Could be massive, just sayin," Liefeld explained in his post.

It's an interesting proposal. The DC Extended Universe might not be at its top form yet, but it has enjoyed some success. Take a look at Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and more recently, Jason Momoa's Aquaman. We're pretty sure that the DCEU's Green Lantern movie would be much better than the 2011 live-action film released by Martin Campbell.
Still, we can't be certain whether Reynolds would even consider playing Hal Jordan again – the end credits of Deadpool 2 is pretty solid evidence of just how much distaste the actor has over the memory of Green Lantern. Besides, it seems like Reynolds is already having a pretty swell time playing the mouthy Deadpool. 20th Century Fox probably wouldn't want to let go of the charmer either.
Once Upon A Deadpool, the PG-13 rated version of Deadpool 2, is now screening in cinemas.
