Deadpool & Wolverine Makeup Artist Shares Awesome BTS Look at Cassandra Nova

In his recent post on Instagram, Oscar-winning makeup artist Bill Corso shared behind-the-scenes photos of Corrin's Cassandra Nova during the test look process of Deadpool & Wolverine.

He pointed out the extra details on Cassandra's fingers where they added prosthetic extenders and nail beds to make them longer than the average human size.

"When Emma was first cast, I did an initial concept design that leaned a little closer to Cassandra’s interpretation in the comics, but it was decided that Emma had such a wonderful look, why mess with it, just add the bald head," Corso explained in the caption.

"Not wanting to leave it at that, I still wanted to come up with something unusual I could add that would be fun and I realized Cassandra had so much action with her hands that it might be fun to lengthen her fingers."

The makeup artist continued, "The trick was, when I lengthened them, they just looked normal so I decided to elongate her nail bed to emphasize the weirdness and length."

This is an awesome behind-the-scenes look for fans as they might have missed this intriguing detail when they saw Cassandra Nova in the film and it would make them rewatch it to pay attention to the prosthetic work that was done in the fingers.

It is also an example of the level of commitment that the makeup team made to make sure that the character's design would be similar to their look in the comics and satisfy the fans.
