We're still a year away from the release of Deadpool 3 but the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman team-up has been picking up steam the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, the recent SAG-AFTRA strike halted the film's production and if things aren't settled soon enough, it could spell bad news for the anticipated project.
Before the strike came into play, several alleged spoilers have leaked online surrounding Deadpool 3's plot. Just recently, a hot rumor made the rounds all over the internet claiming that we'll see more than one version of the Merc with a Mouth in the film.
Deadpool 3 Will Reportedly Feature Multiple Wade Wilson Variants Including Dogpool
According to Twitter tipster CanWeGetSomeToast, Wade Wilson isn't the only Merc with a Mouth we'll see in Deadpool 3. One of which is a bizarre dog named Dogpool aka the Merc with a Bark.
A member of the Deadpool Corps, Dogpool was once known as Wilson, a dog that was used as an animal test subject for Mascara X. However, things went south and the Mascara X experiment completely disfigured Wilson but gave him regenerative abilities much like the original Deadpool.
While the account's track record of sharing insider stuff has been pretty impressive, it's still best to take things with a grain of salt and just wait for the film to come out.
However, the idea that the film will see other Deadpool variants makes absolute sense because apart from the rumored multiversal cameos planned for the threequel, including the actors from the original X-Men films, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) is confirmed to play a substantial role in the film.

With all the Multiversal shenanigans Wade Wilson is about to get himself into, I'm starting to get convinced that Deadpool 3 will be loosely based on Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. At least in this case, he's out to put an exclamation point to Fox's X-Men franchise.
Deadpool 3's release date has been moved up from Nov. 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024.
