DC Universe wasn't the smash streaming service that DC was hoping it would be, but that hasn't stopped the platform from trying to get new subscribers. What's interesting is, they just got a cool new perk for fans who want to check out Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).
As per Batman-News, DC Universe subscribers will be able to get advance tickets to Birds of Prey. Invites are said to go out on Jan. 31, and you can register yourself for an early screening that takes place on Feb. 4 or Feb. 5 in select theaters. I have to admit, that is one hell of a perk for a streaming service that everyone forgot existed. Then again, I think DC Universe can only afford this because they don't have as large of a subscriber count as the likes of Netflix or Amazon.
In any case, DC Universe had reported that it was ‘going strong' back in October of last year. A bit hard to believe counting that they just canceled several of their shows that they had announced. Then again, we've been getting great feedback from shows like Titans and Doom Patrol, not to mention the fun Harley Quinn animated series.
If you aren't too keen on catching the early screening, you can watch Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in theaters Feb. 7.
