DC Releases Batman: The Animated Series Remastered HD Opening

DC fans certainly have a lot to look forward to this year. Not only is Warner Brothers launching its DC streaming site, DC Universe in September, but it's also looking to release the long-awaited blu-ray set box of the Batman: The Animated series.

According to Coming Soon, Batman: The Animated series' blu-ray set release has been pushed back by two weeks to October 30, and to help fans ride the wait, Warner Brothers has decided to release the digitally remastered opening to the series.

For those who aren't familiar with the series, the Batman: The Animated Series follows the Caped Crusaders various adventures as he deals with all sorts of criminals in Gotham. Not only do fans get to see the Dark Knight face his Rogues Gallery of villains, they also get to him face less popular antagonists like Man-Bat, Roland Daggett, and Clayface. Airing from September 1992 to September 1995, the series produced 85 episodes. Not only did Batman: The Animated Series receive great reviews from fans and critics, it's also often considered one of the best comic book television show of all time.

The show features the voice talents of Kevin Conroy as Batman, Star Wars legend Mark Hamill as Joker, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. as Alfred Pennyworth, Robert Hastings as Commissioner Jim Gordon and a slew of other great actors and actresses.

Batman: The Animated Series' blu-ray box set is scheduled for release on October 30.
