Prior to the release of Joker: Folie à Deux, DC fans are already hoping Lady Gaga's version of Harley Quinn gets another spin for a potential solo flick. Here's what fans are making noise about on the Joker sequel:
DC Fans Want Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn To Reprise Role in Own Solo Film
While Joker: Folie à Deux brings the spotlight back to Joaquin Phoenix's troubled Arthur Fleck in Arkham Asylum, DC fans turn their heads to Lady Gaga's praiseworthy performance as a new live-action iteration of Harley "Lee" Quinn.
The Cupid of Chaos was always depicted as a high-pitched lovesick fool for the Clown Prince of Crime in Gotham, but Joker 2 transformed Gaga's character to a completely different take on how she handles Arthur.
Working at the Arkham Asylum, she ends up inspired by Arthur's antics and falls hard for his Joker side.
"The high voice, that accent, the gum-chewing, and all that sort of sassy stuff that's in the comics, we stripped that away," Joker 2 director Todd Phillips previously explained, "We wanted her to fit into this world of Gotham that we created from the first movie."
However, apart from this version of Harlee, the Oscar-winning A Star is Born actress Lady Gaga is also known for her talent on the big and small screens; most notably for American Horror Story and A Star is Born, convincing fans that she has what it takes to keep playing Quinn in the DC Universe.
Other fans are also hoping that Gaga gets yet another Oscar nomination for what she did in Joker: Folie à Deux, and potential merchandise featuring Todd Phillips' unique take on the Cupid of Chaos.
In this Joker sequel, Lee happens to spot Arthur Fleck among the patients stuck in Arkham Asylum.
Both of them find out they share the same sentiment about Gotham and unite, only to discover that Harley has fallen for the darker side of Arthur than the one fans knew in the first movie.
