We already know that Jessica Chastain will be manipulating Jean Grey to do some dangerous things in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. But will the mysterious character also spill some mutant blood herself?
Chastain was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where she unveiled the new Dark Phoenix trailer. But before that, the Zero Dark Thirty actress dropped some potential spoilers while explaining her role in the film. At one point, Fallon asks if Jean's powers are for good or for evil. However, Chastain immediately moved in to talk about her own character getting into the action.
"I get to beat up a lot of X-Men in the movie," she admitted before adding, "Maybe kill some?"
At this point, it's pretty obvious that Chastain's character is up to no good but she tried to go back on her confession.
"I didn't say I definitely do," she said. "Maybe someone lives. Maybe someone dies."
The trailer itself may have revealed whose death Chastain is responsible for. At one point, we see Jean Grey attacking Mystique followed by a funeral scene. Did the alien convince Jean to kill Mystique? We'll find out for sure this June.
