Could Ben Affleck Have Met With WB For The Batman Script?

Ben Affleck's future in the DC Extended Universe has been largely uncertain during the past few months. There have been numerous reports that the Batman v Superman star would be hanging up his cape as DC's Dark Knight. There have also been reports that the actor would stay and stick to his role in Warner Brother's burgeoning superhero franchise.

Now, amidst the struggles of his personal life, a new report by TMZ says that Affleck was found taking a break from his rehab (the actor decided to go to rehab for his alcoholism) so that he could attend a meeting with Warner Brothers. According to the publication, Affleck was seen at the studio's office carrying together a roll of papers in his hand.

While fans can assume that Affleck's carrying a script in his hand, the actor gearing up for a new project has yet to be confirmed. However, if the DCEU star really is reprising his role as Batman, then it's very likely that Affleck will be working on Matt Reeve's The Batman. After all, Warner Brothers has slowly begun pre-production on the Dark Knight standalone, with Reeves submitting his first draft for the project. What other project would Affleck be working on aside from DC's highly anticipated The Batman?

Still, fans have to wait and see what happens. Affleck might be a DCEU star, but he's also a frequent Warner Brothers collaborator, and the filmmaker could have seen the movie for a movie of his own like Live by Night, The Town and Argo.
