Ahead of the fantasy anime’s release date announcement, more information, including details about the cast and staff, has been revealed.
Yuji Iwahara's Clevatess Manga Set for Epic Fantasy Anime Debut
Clevatess: The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero, or simply Clevatess, is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Iwahara.
The series is getting an anime adaptation, as announced by Kadokawa, but there’s no word on its release date yet.
Kadokawa also unveiled the anime’s first promotional video, which reveals the main cast and staff of the Clevatess anime adaptation.
A new visual has also been posted on the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the Clevatess anime series, as shown below:
The main cast of the Clevatess anime has also been revealed, and it stars Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa in Golden Kamuy) as Alicia, Mutsumi Tamura (Lutz in Ascendance of a Bookworm) as Clen, and Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Clevatess.
Before Clevatess debuts its pilot episode, additional cast and staff will likely be announced.
Clevatess Anime Release Date Predictions
The release date of the Clevatess anime project is not yet confirmed, as details about its release window are still under wraps.
However, based on previous release windows for new anime adaptations, it usually takes a year or two before they drop their debut episodes.
If that’s the case, the Clevatess anime could debut sometime in mid-2025 or mid-2026, likely in the spring or summer season, provided there are no delays along the way.

Clevatess is set in a fantasy world where there’s an ongoing war between the heroes and the magical beasts.
The story begins with Alicia, one of the 13 heroes chosen by the King to subjugate Clevatess, the lord of the magical beasts.
What the heroes don’t know is that Clevatess is taking care of a baby, who is destined to be the world’s last remaining hope.
