Chucky Season 2 will delve deep into the murderous doll's backstory, bringing back his offspring turned human kids, Glen and Glenda. Lachlan Watson of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was cast in both roles for the show's new episode, and the official teaser provided a first glimpse at the characters.
Watson will play both characters, even sharing the same frame with them in several scenes per the Chucky Season 2 trailer, and it's evident that a family reunion is on the way.
Chucky Season 2: Glen/Glenda Could Help Uncover Answers
We may finally get some explanations for what transpired at the end of Seed of Chucky, as per Watson's casting of the part. Longtime fans of the franchise will be eager to witness a deeper exploration of Seed of Chucky's impact on the program because Chucky, the TV series, has not shied away from connecting with and exploring the bizarre continuity of the franchise as a whole.
Billy Boyd provided the voice of Glen/Glenda in the original movie, as fans may remember, but it's not clear if he'll do so in any capacity for the show.
A Dysfunctional Family Reunion
Fans may recall that Jennifer Tilly appeared in Seed of Chucky as herself, in addition to voicing Tiffany. Unsurprisingly, the film also featured Chucky and Tiffany's progeny, who were first hinted at the end of Bride of Chucky. Glen, when presented, not only had aspirations to conduct violent actions like their parents but he was also repulsed by the concept.
Glen shared a body with his twin sister Glenda. It was eventually revealed. Tilly would subsequently give birth to human twins in the film, giving Glen and Glenda their own human bodies to inhabit. The pair, now grown, plan to return this Halloween season to reunite with their mother.
